The evolution is a gradual process that Total Quality Management has gone through. In the 1920s, scientific management principles developed. In the 1930s, methods of statistical analysis and control quality were formed. In the 1950s, TQM and quality concepts were developed. In 1968, quality management systems were created, and up to date, quality standards and QMS have been established. Therefore, Total Quality Management (TQM) has developed over four stages namely quality inspection, quality control, quality assurance, and Total Quality Management.
