Effective supply chain management will help the commercial bank of Ethiopia reduce its operating costs by trading with suppliers who offer a longer credit period and supply the bank with the products and services that the bank orders in good time and of high quality (Donovan, 2012). Effective supply chain management will also ensure that the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia is effective in offering customer service to their customers and by doing so the bank will retain their customers and hence achieve their core objectives, mission and vision
