· Inadequate tracking and documentation-This is the project manager's responsibility. You'll be able to tell if you're on track if you keep track of milestones. With proper tracking and monitoring, the PM can determine where extra resources are needed to finish a project on schedule.
· Ineffective leadership-The project manager is not solely responsible for project leadership. Each management level's leaders are responsible for ensuring the project's success. Management should not micromanage but rather offer assistance to project managers to meet the goals set for them.
· Failure to Define and Enforce Parameters-The project manager must be able to collaborate effectively with the rest of the team. There should be consequences if and when tasks or goals fail to achieve the standard. Prioritize tasks and assign them to the person with the most experience.
· Project Managers with Little or No Experience-Project managers are in charge of a lot of things. These individuals must have the necessary education and expertise. Inexperienced project managers will be in charge at some time.
