Management contemporary approaches include Quantitative management, sociotechnical system theory, System Theory, and Organizational behavior.
Quantitative Management Theory applies mathematical and statistical approaches and optimization models, and simulation using computers to influence managerial decision-making. Management Information System forms an example of Quantitative Management Theory that helps estimate, predict, and forecast based on probability data. However, the sociotechnical system theory describes the interdependence and relationship among people with their environment based on social and technological aspects. Training programs such as employee development to adapt to the trending technological environment are examples of a sociotechnical approach to management. System Theory describes the relationship and interactions between organizational parts, entities, the functioning of these segments of an organization, and expected outcomes. Feedback processes form an example of the System Theory approaches to management. Organizational behavior is a type of management approach that aids the management and human resources in understanding human behavior through adequate control to develop functional organizational culture.
