Answer
As a shift supervisor of ten-day shift security officials in Peter Wholesalers company, I would develop a security lighting system that would intend to detect intrusions or criminal activity on a Peter’s property. I would advise the management to bring in a high-intensity glare lighting that when positioned to illuminated various isolated zones outside the protected areas would always be appropriate in a maximum-security environment. In areas where CCTV cannot reach, they can also be illuminated to facilitate use of state of art CCTV, thus saving money on expensive light cameras that Peters Wholesalers Company could be using.
Furthermore, concerning different types of lighting, I would persuade the management to install Continuous lighting, which is the most common security -lighting system. Although it contains a series of fixed lights arranged to flood a given area continuously with overlapping cones of light during darkness, it would help Peter Wholesalers Company to detect serious financial losses owing to nighttime burglaries. In addition, the company choosing this type of lighting system would be ideal since 50 percent overlap would be desirable so that if one lamp fails, the lamps on either side can fill in for the failed unit. Therefore, this would lower cases of financial loss in Peter Wholesalers company at night time.
Overall, I would recommend the Board of Directors to hire a profession to install security lighting in high-risk areas such as outbuildings, parking areas and other dark areas should be considered. Further, to avoid night-time burglaries for Peter Wholesalers Company, the management should hire a profession to establish a timer or light sensitive device that would help to turn lights on when it begins to get dark and off as the sun rises. Also, the electrical cables used to power these lights should be checked regularly, to avoid being easily accessed or likely to be damaged accidentally. Besides, use of energy-efficient lights that provide sufficient illumination.
