Agbogbloshie is notorious for the dumping of electronic waste in the area making it the most polluted region in Ghana. Thus, the primary types of pollution prevalent in the area are;

1. Soil pollution- Toxic chemicals from the electronic wastes dumped in the area are released into the ground polluting the soil around the region.
2. Air pollution- The large volumes of electronic waste dumped in the region release hazardous toxins such as lead, iron and cooper into the air polluting the atmosphere surrounding the region
3. Water pollution- Electronic waste contents like TVs, and computer components leach toxic chemicals like barium and lead through the soil into the ground water used by the local communities around Agbogbloshie.
