The most important skills an employee must possess in this era in order to succeed are;

Communication skills-an employee should be able to communicate effectively, whether verbally or in writing in order to be able to sell their ideas and services.

Agility-This is the ability to move around quickly in any place of work. This skill is very useful nowadays due to the high paced work environment. Resilient- employees are expected to be able to recover from setbacks or downfalls and move on.

Courage-This is the ability to take risks where most people wouldn't dare venture. The current business environment tolerates mistakes so long as at the end they might reap high turnover.

Curiosity-This skill helps employees learn more about their  careers and understand their roles better. This helps create a better workforce, thus increasing productivity.

Nowadays, employers are aware of the value of on-the-job training. The have invested in the training of new employees who do not yet have the necessary skills. By investing in training, employers have built careers pathways and retention of employees. The have also increased the talent pipeline.
