Recruitment is a referred to as a positive process because it entails all people with relevant skills and qualifications to perform a job. Recruitment gives all job seekers an opportunity to apply for a job. Selection, on the other hand, is referred to as a negative process because it involves rejection of all candidates by selecting the most suitable to perform the job. Although applicants might have similar qualifications, the company selects one. Rejection of candidates creates disappointment to the applicants, making the process negative.
