The compromise of 1850 formed the fugitive state act which reinforced the structural differences that divided the united states by forcing nonslaveholders to participate in institutions and increasing polarization among them U.S inhabitants.

The formation of Kansas - the Nebraska act that lead to the bleeding of Kansas resulted in the firing of the Lawrence and Pottawatomie creek massacre which resulted in a guerilla war between pro-slavery and antislavery forces because people were forced to adopt popular sovereignty.

After Supreme Court concluded that the Dred Scott case was not valuable because black people are just pieces of property that do not require any human right. This, Dred Scott threatens to entirely change the political landscape which resulted in civil war
