B)Explain a development in Europe that led to the creation of new states in the period 1914-1939.
C) Explain a way in which the circumstances that led to the creation of new states in Europe in the period 1914-1939 contributed to conflict in Europe in the period 1939-1945.
A). Czechoslovakia
B).A number of new countries in eastern Europe and the Middle East, often with significant ethnic minorities, were formed by the collapse of the German, Russian, Austro-Hungarian, and Ottoman empires.
C).Germany was forced to abandon land at the end of WWI, disarm and pay for the cost of the battle. Many in Britain and America criticized these divisive situations as unnecessarily vindictive. In Germany, the terms of the treaty caused immediate uproar and enduring resentment. Hitler made it his mission to take back what was once Germany's territory by acquiring back Czechoslovakia and Poland territories. This pushed the other European powers, Britain and France, to declare war on Germany upon the invasion of Poland as they had made a pact with Poland to protect it in case Germany attacks.
Several new states emerged in Europe, although small, like Czechoslovakia before the period of 1939. Some development that led to new states includes the dissolution of colonizing countries like Germany and Russia. It led to new and small states in the Middle East and Europe. When these countries dissolved, they were in debt to each other. For instance, Germany had 132 billion marks to compensate for force destructions, and the French had to force their army to work for them as a form of payment. These caused more conflicts among European nations.
