Ancient Egypt history runs from the early prehistoric settlements at the Northern Nile up to the period of the Roman conquest of Egypt which occurred in 30BC.The Pharaoh reign is dated from around 32nd century BC,at the time Egypt was unified, that is the upper and lower Egypt. The reign ended under the Macedonian rule in 332BC.In a nutshell Egypt was split into many periods according to each Pharaoh that existed. The times however are not that clear, subject to debate. The following are the major events;

           Prehistoric Egypt which occurred before 3100 BC,followed by the Naqada IIIC(3100-3000 BC) also known as dynasty “O”.The early dynasty period(both the first and the second) followed suit. The old kingdom which came after included the 3rd to 6th Dynasties.

           Then the First intermediate period(7th or 8th -11th dynasties).Followed by the Middle kingdom(12-15th dynasties),followed by the 2nd intermediate period(14-17th dynasties),Followed by the New Kingdom(18-20th Dynasties).Then the 3rd intermediate dynasty(21-25th) and then the late period(26-31st dynasties) and lastly the Ptolemaic Egypt(305-30 Bc)
