What do you think John Locke means by natural right?

Locke wrote that all individuals are equal in the sense that they are born with certain "inalienable" natural rights. That is, rights that are God-given and can never be taken or even given away. By Natural rights Locke meant the rights that everyone has just because they were born: life, liberty, and property. Purpose of Government to protect the rights that the individual cannot effectively protect in a state of nature.
