According to Rev. John A. Ryan, is the living wage a primary or secondary natural right?
A living wage is the pull pay obtained by a worker for a regular work week that is sufficient to provide a basic, but reasonable, standard of life for the worker and his or her family in a given place. A living wage must cover a family's fundamental requirements (food, shelter, clothing, transportation, healthcare, and education), as well as allow the worker and family to save for unforeseen events and engage in social and cultural activities.
