Summarise the experience of ma'ans Sanjata as a child
2,what might historians learn from this story of his early childhood??
1.
Ma'ans Sanjata was an epic poetry who belonged to the Mandinka people from West Africa who was born a lame. He lived in the 13thcentrury and was the king of the Mali empire. He was a quasi-mythological biography of King Sundiata Keita, who founded the Mali empire that lasted for more than 165 years. The poem is also a central cultural narrative of the Mandinka people, who today live throughout Mali, Guinea, and the Ivory Coast. While in Mema, Sundiata grows and is said to develop the strength of a lion. He serves under a great general and proves his military and tactical prowess, and then earns the position of viceroy to the king. Back in Mali, Dankaran has fled after an attack by Soumaoro Kanté, the cruel king of the Sosso Empire who has already captured nine kingdoms in the Ghanaian Empire.
2.
Don't despise people from humble beginning because they can rise into respectable and prominent people in the society. As in the case of Ma'ans Sanjata, he was born from a poor background and even he was ridiculed because his mother was ugly.
Don't give up in life. Ma'ans Sanjata endured all the ridicules he got from the people and never gave up. "He successfully attempts to walk using the rod, which bends into the shape of a bow under his strength. He then uproots a baobab tree in another demonstration of strength".
