Within Auschwitz, specific people were working to steal money from the inmates as they arrived and waited for their Berlin transfers. The majority of them were Jews and well political prisoners. However, there was an ideological solution where the Nazis gained financial benefits. Moreover, exchanging foreign currencies made a profit (Zamir, n.d).
