Boas was born in Germany in 1858 and his father was a merchant. Boas was of fragile wellbeing as a child and exhausted much of his life with books. At the age of five years, he took curiosity in social science. Boas and his students of coterie listed the physical traits that are different between the particular races such as whites with their light skin therefore this classification of the society so based on race will always lead to racial discrimination and interracial struggles.
