Atlantic slave trade promoted British businesses, ports and individuals who benefited from it's extra source of capital. On the other side, Africa suffered greatly due to lawlessness and violence caused by the slave trade. People lived with fear of being captured for sale as slaves, which affected African economic activities such as Agriculture. America also suffered the impact of slave trade, which promoted a deep social divide that developed between the rich White and the poor Blacks. America is still struggling with the effects of this social divide.
