Impacts of the Versailles Treaty on Germany

The Versailles Treaty led to the snatching of Germany territories and gave some to her neighbouring countries and others placed under the watch of the International supervision. In addition, Germany was stripped of its overseas colonies, its military capabilities were severely restricted, and it was required to pay war reparations to the Allied countries.

Impacts of the Versailes Treaty on the United States

Simillarly, the Versailles Treaty led to the Irreconcilables, isolationist members of Congress, prevented the United States from ratifying the treaty; the United States never became a member of the League of Nations. Also, many Americans felt that the Treaty was unfair on Germany. More importantly, they felt that Britain and France were making themselves rich at Germany's expense and that the USA should not be helping them to do this.
