Philippines Arts refer to the various forms of the arts that have developed and accumulated in the Philippines from the onset of civilization in the country up to date. They indicate the range of artistic influences to its culture, which include indigenous forms of the arts, and how these influences have refined the country's arts.
The National Commission for Culture and the Arts has grouped Filipino arts into two groups; traditional and non-traditional. Each category has been divided into various arts and further in to sub-categories of their own. The traditional arts include; folk architecture, maritime transport, weaving, carving, folk performing arts, oral literature, folk graphic and plastic arts, ornament, textile, pottery, and other artistic expressions. The non-traditional arts include; dance, music, theater, visual arts, literature, films and broadcasts, architecture & allied arts and design.
Art develops with change in time as the artists refine their skills and innovate. Secondly, an improvement in technology has also made refinement in arts.
