The increased global migration between 1850 and 1940 was due to the following reasons; firstly these migrations were contributed by wars. Bearing in might that this was the time of world war two many people migrated from their original lands to escape wars. The second reason for global migration was due to unemployment. Many industries were burnt during the world war two and contributed to many people who were industrial workers to remain jobless something which led them to migrate to other regions away from their original land to search for new jobs.

Another reason for global migration was due to land grabbing where by many people were grabbed their land during the second world war crisis forcing them to migrate to other places to search for a place to settle. Education also contributed to people migrating to other places. Some people migrated to search for better education while others migrated in order to further their studies.

Personal willingness to migrate was another reason that contributed to people migrating to other places. This was advocated by their financial status that allowed them to move from one place to another. Last but not the least, the increased global migration between 1850 and 1940 was brought about by climate change. This is because during WW11 many places were burnt and some of these places ended up becoming deserts and therefore people had to migrate to search for better places.
