Discuss how the development of social-rented housing has evolved since 1910 in South Africa
Since 1910 the social-rented housing has evolved significantly to solve the problem of housing in South Africa. Many changes have been made to facilitate access to housing programs for the south Africans earning between R1 501 to R15 000 every month. The housing act of 1920 established a government-funded administration through the central housing board; since then, municipalities were allowed to borrow resources to construct hoses to facilitate social-rented housing for people at the bottom of the economic pyramid. Today millions of low-income households have access to publicly subsidized housing programs.
