There are many methods that writers use in their pieces of work to stimulate the imagination of young readers. The main purpose of stimulating the imagination of a young reader is to enable them to connect with the world and deal with the different situations it presents to them (Grimmer, 2019). In simple terms, it boost the creativity of the children and tend to their emotional development. Some of the most common methods include the use of visuals in the children books, introduction of real life experiences and doodling instructions in some of the books (Grimmer, 2019). Some of the common example of children books that boosts imagination include; ‘The Cat in the Hat’ and ‘Winnie the Pooh.’ The visualization used in the first book portrays a cat who wears a red hat with matching bow tie and this introduces young readers to cats. In the second book, the story is about a teddy bear and it encourages imaginations about soft toys among young readers.
