The Cuban Missile Crisis was one of the closest times that the world almost experienced a cold war. This resulted in a significant confrontation between the Union of Soviet Specialist Republic and the United States (Stern, 2020). The discovery of the Soviet missiles brought out a heated debate. However, Kennedy decided that a US Navy would establish a blockade of the island to prevent the delivery of more missiles. Also, the two countries stopped communicating until it was too late, though the matter was resolved. The Americans were notified in a broadcast. American was shot down in Cuba. However, the issue was later resolved, and the missiles in Cuba were removed.
