Timur Chagatay was a Turco-Mongol conqueror. He lived from circa April 1336 to February 1405(died ageed 68years.) He founded the Timurid Empire and was therefore its first ruler. He was a renown military leader and tactician in Asian history. He gained prominence as military leader in 1360: he took part in campaign of Transoxiana amd led the invasion of Khorasan. His rule led to the introduction of the Timurid Renaissance. He invaded and conquered Persia before ascending to throne.
