Discuss the socio economic benefits of heritage sites in Zimbabwe
The Zimbabweans has derived various benefits as a result of the existing heritage sites in the country which are of economic, cultural, educational, social and environmental value. It has created employment opportunities to the community coupled with community projects as Shona village and Craft Centre that generate revenue to the locals. The heritage sites have played also a crucial role in the preservation of local traditions, customs and the culture of the Zimbabweans. The community has also benefited from the beautification of the area as a result of these sites which are ran and maintained by the government in conjunction with the community. Additionally, heritage tourism has promoted community pride by uniting the locals enhancing economic and cultural developments through distinctive community opportunities (Nhamo & Katsamudanga, 2019).
