Significance of Hitler’s answering offensive in the Southern Soviet Union
Hitler’s defeat in the Southern Soviet Union, his military troops, were affected negatively. Their competencies diminished severely due to the increased number of casualties and destruction of military hardware (Glantz, 2017). It gave their allies a chance to start a second front in Europe. It was strategically timed on the D-Day, which aided the allies in achieving victory in Europe.
