The war between America and Spain helped to end the spanish rule in Philippines. The primary source of wealth in Philippines in the 19th century was land, which produced cash crops, such as sugar and abaca. Its construction ability helped to provide technological link among the Philippines' separated Islands. Industrial Revolution transformed lives, which provided comfort for ordinary people during the 19th century. Generally, Nationalism, industrialism and democracy encouraged technological, scientific and economic revolution in Philippines.
