Money

Russia was facing a tough economic time from the start of the war up to the beginning of 1917 where the country was now going into total collapse. Industries could not get raw materials from overseas. there was also a serious food shortage in the city caused by the country relying on peasant Famers to fed the nation but most of them were conscripted into the army when the war broke out.

Social Life

Living conditions among workers deteriorated since Poland and Lithuania had deprived Russia of much farmland. Unemployment rose in the industries that were not directly contributing to the war effort hence living standards of many citizens were shattered due to the loss of their employment in the industries.
