Containment Policy
Containment policy refers to a geopolitical foreign policy that was used by the United States (Berrhouma & Khelef, 2020). The policy was aimed at containing the Soviet Union during the world war after the end of the Second World War. The policy that was christened the cold war foreign policy of the United States and its allies was used to prevent stop the spread of communism after world war two. The policy was a containment tool that was used by the United States to stop the speared of communism by the Soviet Union in Africa, Europe, Latin America, and Asia (Bennouh, 2020). Communism was perceived as an idea by the United States because it was seeking a classless society and removal of religion, and was therefore considered inhuman and unworthy by the United States and its Allies.
