Massachusetts bay colony has been considered one of the ancient English settlements in the 1630s by the Puritan refugees. These territories were established purposely to promote trade between Native Americans and English settlers and hence, the Puritans set theocratic government that initiated the foundation of a similar religion. therefore, promoting Protestantism and resulting conflicts between natives and foreigners increased slavery that affected American democracy. Tensions existed since the beginning between the Puritans and the native peoples controlling southern New England and as time went by, relationships deteriorated due to territorial expansions of settlers and as European culture that disrupted native life.
