How did growing victory gardens help the war effort?
war gardening or victory gardens encouraged the production of their own foods by the Americans in which planting of different vegetables was done on backyards, churchyards, and city parks. this enabled Americans to access food and hence distributing some of the foods to warzones to feed soldiers. it was designed to encourage Americans to produce more and consume less, and placed an emphasis on volunteerism and therefore avoiding wartime food rationing.
