Hellenistic philosophies developed new ideas that helped shape ancient philosophies encompassed by the Greeks in their daily living. Contrary to Aristotle’s philosophy, Hellenistic urged that people tend to live according to reason and indifferent to pleasure or pain, emphasizing happiness to ensure balanced moral life. Therefore, this implied doubting everything in ancient Greek philosophers and condemning traditional social values such as wealth, pleasure, religion, and reputation, which seemed to drive people’s behavior. This developed different schools of thought in the Hellenistic world in terms of Greco-Roman connotations which continue to ensure ethical outlook by calling attention to highly general characteristics.
