Svecoman is a nationalist movement that emerged against another nationalist movement called Fennoman. The Fennoman movement had demanded a replacement of the Swedish by the Finnish in all influential public administration posts towards the 19^th century. Therefore, the push by the Fennoman resulted in the uprising of the Svecoman movement, which was against the Fennoman  movement’s ideas.
