Two of the foreign policies include mercantilism which sought to increase Great Britain’s wealth through exports and to finance the French and Indian wars. The colonists were not happy for the reason that they were being taxed to pay for these extravagancies. The other foreign policy that was opposed was the stamp act which the colonists reasoned that since they did not elect parliamentary representatives, Britain had no obligation to tax them, hence they began the boycott of British goods. The quartering act also sought that the colonists had to house and feed British soldiers stationed in ports like Boston, something that angered the colonists and let to the Boston massacre.
