Describe how living on a peninsula would be similar to living on an island.

People living on a peninsula experience a similar lifestyle with those living on islands because the bigger part of all the land mass is surrounded by water. However, unlike on an island where the entire land mass is surrounded by water, a peninsula leaves a stretch that connects to the main land on one side. One similarity is that a water body encircles the land with coastlines giving opportunities for sea faring, fishing and other water related activities. A further similarity is that they are socially and geographically isolated with small populations of people.
