Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the nineteenth-century leader of the Sikh Empire in India, has emerged as the winner from around the globe to be named the "Best Leader of All Time" in a survey directed by 'BBC World Histories Magazine.' More than 5,000 readers cast a ballot in the poll. Surveying more than 38 percent of the vote, Singh was lauded for making a Liberal and tolerant kingdom.
Though unquestionably an imperialist, Ranjit Singh factored a distinctive, more liberal, more inclusive model of a much-needed and state-built path towards integration and authorization.
