It is a true statement that the Gutenberg Printing Press is one of the main reasons why the Protestant Reformation took place.Gutenberg plays a significant in the printing of the bibles through the type  movable printing which resulted to  book printing efficiency, which later was translated and printed to vernacular Bibles by Martin Luther.According to Chester,(2017), Luther emphasized  that Christians must be able to read the scriptures on their own instead of relying on  church leaders  for their salvation.Hence, this promoted knowledge among the common individuals in Europe and later in America
