Rainforest have a complex structure, usually they consist of four layers: emergent (large trees 45-55 m tall), canopy (majority of the largest trees, height 30-45 m), understory (birds and animals live there) and forest floor (the layer with the smallest amount of sunlight, full of swamps and decaying animals and plants).
