What is acid rain? It is when acids fall on the ground from heavens. Do these acids form in the clouds? No. Water drops form in the clouds and fall to the ground. While they are falling, they mix with different sulfur and carbon oxides, and this combination produces acids.
We can't stop water from forming in the clouds and raining. But we can stop producing these oxides, which are a result of burning fossil fuels.
Therefore, the best way to reduce acid rain is to reduce the burning of fossil fuels.
