The challenges posed by the growth of Latin America’s urban population are diverse. For instance, it has led to reduced public safety as more people go to urban areas and fail to secure job resulting in crime. It has also resulted in difficult in movement as the urban areas become too complicated with people and vehicles. Increased urban population has also led to environmental degradation as high level of waste ends up scattered in the streets. Strained resource usage has led to reduced access to water and other resources.
