1. Introduction: A circle diagram is the graphical representation of the performance of an electrical machine drawn in terms of the locus of the machine’s input voltage and current. It can be drawn for alternators, synchronous motors, transformers and induction motors. The circle diagram is drawn using the data obtained from the no – load and blocked rotor test in terms of rotating electrical machines. 2. Instructions: Conduct a no – load test and blocked rotor test on the induction motor and calculate the per phase values of no load current I0, short-circuit current I𝑠𝑐 and the corresponding phase angles Φ0 and Φ𝑠𝑐. Also find short circuit current I𝑠𝑛 corresponding to normal supply voltage.
