Question #230238

What is a measure of a synchronous coefficient

Expert's answer

The Synchronous Power Coefficient measures how much power is available at any one time Psyn is a measure of the stiffness of the rotor-stator coupling. A high Psyn value implies that the coupling is stiff or inflexible. A too stiff connection indicates that the machine will be subjected to shock when the load or supply is changed.
