A graphical methodology may also be used to compute the autocorrelation of any given signal. The process entails sliding a time-shifted replica of the provided signal onto itself while calculating samples at each interval. That example, if the provided signal is digital, we shift it by one sample and overlap it with the original signal each time. While doing so, we multiply and add for each shift and overlap.
