A 4 pole dc series motor has an armature resistance of 0.1 Ω. Its field winding is divided into two groups, each having resistance of 0.01 Ω. When the two groups are in a series and supply voltage as 110 V the current drawn by the motor is 50 A, running at 700 r.p.m. Find the speed if field groups are connected in parallel. Assume load torque constant and flux proportional to the field current.
