They are an individual’s management skills or entrepreneurial ability. These may include attributes such as the level of education, age, or farming experience, among others. They reflect a farmer’s ability to understand farm technologies and their impact on farming as farmers do vary in their management skills.
Economic factors:
They involve the ability to financially afford the adoption of new irrigation technologies. Individuals must assess their ability to purchase and maintain the machinery used in the processes.
Environmental factors:
They involve environmental suitability for the effectiveness of the technology. they may include the land terrain, soil structure, among others.
Organizational Factors:
These include the systems that outline how certain activities are directed in order to achieve the goals of an organization. These activities can include rules, roles, and responsibilities of individuals in attaining the new irrigation technology in place.
social factors:
They include the things that affect people's lifestyles. These could include wealth, religion, buying habits, education level, family size and structure and population density.
