19. What are the advantages of open dumping disposal process?
Open dumping is defined as a site of land disposal where solid wastes are disposed of in a way that does not protect our environment. The waste in open dumping is susceptible to open burning and is exposed to the vectors and scavengers. Open dumping has been prohibited because of its negative impact on our environment. Solid waste disposal practices can be included in the open dumping. These practices pose an adverse effect on our health and environment. An officially designated municipal solid waste landfill and an officially designated construction and demolition debris landfill are not an open dump.
