It is a process for seperating hydrophobic material from hydrophilic. Froth Flotation method is use during processing of minerals, recycling of paper, in mining industry and in waste water treatment industries. It checks if the material is water repelling or having affinity for water. The overall concept is based on density and the nature of material. The oil used in froth flotation process in pine oil, it is because it does not have affinity towards water and it easily attracts impurities and impurities can easily wash away.
