Question #292839

Write the parameters by which various AM techniques differ from one another.

Expert's answer

AM refers to Amplitude Modulation. It is one of the oldest modulation systems used to transmit radio signals. The different techniques of AM are double sideband - suppressed carrier modulation, single sideband modulation and vestigial sideband modulation. They differ by the amount of sideband involved in transmission and also by the mode of transmission.
