Ethics refers to "a set of principles of right conduct". Since that, unethical behavior is the one, which does not correspond to these rules. On the other hand, in some areas law prescribes certain behavioral order. In this case it is mandatory. Not fulfilling them is unlawful. The ethics officer serves as the organization's internal control point for ethics and improprieties, allegations, complaints, and conflicts of interest and provides corporate leadership and advice on corporate governance issues.
