Professional career management is the purposeful activity of the personnel service to develop the professional abilities of the individual, the accumulation of professional experience and its rational use both in the interests of the employee and in the interests of the enterprise (organization).


Career management is about helping staff achieve their professional development goals, the desire to pursue a personal career and realize their abilities.


Career management technique consists of a complex of interrelated actions, namely:


- Study and identification of the needs of the enterprise (organization) in personnel;


- Assessment of the abilities and personal qualities of the personnel;


- Development of options for planning the use of the employee;


- Individual conversation with the employee, consideration of the proposed option for the use of his labor and abilities (coordination and adjustment of the career plan);


- Development and approval of a career and professional development plan by the head of the enterprise (organization) and its implementation.

Career development is an ongoing process in which both employees and employers must make an effort to create an enabling environment so that they can achieve their goals at the same time.
